Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman to join our team at a switchgear manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant software, capable of both converting existing PDF drawings into CAD format and preparing new drawings from scratch. This role involves creating scheme drawings, control drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, foundation details, and other necessary documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drawing Conversion: Convert existing PDF drawings into detailed CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• New Drawing Preparation: Prepare electrical scheme drawings, control drawings, GA drawings, and foundation layouts as required for LV switchgear, RMU, AIS, and related electrical systems.
• Scheme Drawings: Develop electrical scheme drawings that detail the operation of electrical systems within the switchgear and related equipment.
• Control Drawings: Prepare detailed control wiring diagrams and layouts based on project requirements.
• General Arrangement (GA) Drawings: Create GA drawings to accurately represent the layout and configuration of electrical installations.
• Foundation Drawings: Prepare foundation layouts and details for electrical equipment and switchgear installations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all drawings, including revisions and updates, ensuring they are easily accessible for project teams.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure all drawings meet project specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or certificate in Electrical Drafting or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical drafting, with proficiency in both drawing conversion and preparation from scratch.
• Software Skills: Expertise in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical systems, including LV switchgear, RMU, AIS, and associated equipment.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise and detailed drawings with minimal supervision.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a switchgear manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electrical systems.
